Technical Lead (PHP)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Lead (PHP & MERN) to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone who has extensive hands-on experience in both PHP and MERN stack development and is now leading a team of engineers. The ideal candidate should be proficient in modern PHP frameworks, as well as MERN technologies, have experience in system architecture, and possess strong leadership skills to drive the team towards technical excellence.

Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of PHP & MERN developers, ensuring best practices in coding and software design.
  
• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, ensure timely delivery of features, and maintain high-quality code standards.
  
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement best practices.
  
• Technical Architecture: Design scalable and high-performance solutions based on business needs.
  
• Hands-on Coding: Be actively involved in coding and troubleshooting complex issues when required.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  
• Security & Performance: Ensure security compliance, optimize database queries, and enhance system performance.
  
• Training & Development: Guide team members in upskilling, conducting technical workshops, and ensuring continuous learning.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Expertise:

• 5+ years of experience in Fullstack development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Strong knowledge of MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
  
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Vue.js/React is a plus).
  
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is desirable.
  
• Leadership & Communication:
  
• Proven experience in leading a team, setting priorities, and guiding developers.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make technical decisions.
  
•  Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and present technical insights.

Agile & DevOps:

• Experience working in Agile development environments.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in micro-services architecture and scalable system design.
  
• Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks.
  
• Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
